This is an entire unit of work focusing on using Excel which my students have absolutely loved. The unit focuses on using Excel to plan and budget for an imaginary pop concert. Students collect data and input to spreadsheets in order to work out takings from mock concert over three nights. Unit requires teacher to ‘live teach’ inputting formulae onto excel during class.
There are opportunities for differentiated challenge, peer/self/teacher assessment and several points of Oracy.
Lessons include well presented, engaging slides with relevant examples and opportunities for creativity.
