Literacy unit - fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty based on Phillip Pullman’s Grimm tales Briar Rose.
Using the story of Sleep Beauty, this unit teaches the skills needed to write an invitation letter.
Over the 2 weeks there are focused grammar lessons using my own inviation example inviting the fairies to the wedding of Sleeping Beauty.
Planned for year 3 working above age related expectations. Can be easily adapted. There are 3 different flip charts for week 2 depending on time during that week.
