You will require a strip of magnet to cut into pieces. Making this demonstration requires the children to first assemble and perhaps colour in various pieces. It involves pictures of a dog, a bone, a kennel, string and a penny. Instructions included but basically attach the magnet and string to the dog and the penny to the bone. Draw the dog out of the kennel pulling the string, get the bone (the magnet attracts the penny) and draw the dog back to the kennel with the bone.

Great idea with coins of different ages. Gave activity a different slant.

A useful activity for demonstrating how magnets work.
