Mental and oral starters for Year 4 Summer Teaching Sequence 10.

Understand decimal notation for tenths and hundredths in context for example length, converting 125cm to metres or money, converting pence to pounds and vice versa. Recognise the equivalence between the fraction and decimal forms of tenths. Understand decimal notation for tenths and hundredths. Recognise the equivalence between tenths written as vulgar fractions (1/10) and decimal fractions (0.1), and between hundredths written as vulgar and decimal fractions. Place hundredths on a 0-1 line with multiples. of 0.1 labelled.
