This is a SOW designed for the teaching the skills of AQA Paper 1 Language.
The unit of work has been designed to use material from the Sherlock Holmes stories, especially extracts from Sign of Four, Study in Scarlet and Scandal in Bohemia. The SOW intends on teaching students how to approach extracts, as they would for the Language exam, while also using material from the Literature exam, Paper 1.
Lessons have been aimed at teaching the exam to Year 9, middle sets.
