Pupils add missing punctuation to paragraphs from Oranges in No Man’s Land by Elizabeth Laird.

Pupils read the paragraphs and add the missing punctuation, including the following:
• Capital letters for the start of sentences
• Capital letters for proper nouns
• Full stops
• Question marks
• Commas
• Inverted commas
• Apostrophes for contractions
• Apostrophes for possession

The worksheets have been differentiated three ways. Answer sheets have been included.

These worksheets are useful when learning about or revising punctuation, including sentence punctuation. The paragraph extracts help to familiarise pupils with the text, making the activity useful to carry out before text-based writing such as diary writing.
