Phase 5: magic 'e' / split digraph [mixed a-e, e-e, i-e, o-e, u-e] word table cards.
Children use the long vowels a, e, i, o, u, to complete the words given. In doing so, they get used to trying the different long vowels in each word. There can be more than one option for them to choose from. Once the list is made, pupils change cards. They also read them back to you to check their reading of these magic 'e' words.
