RE SMART & PPT What difference does the resurrection make to Christians? 6 lessons Salvation UC unit

This unit is a series of six lessons and all resources for the Understanding Christianity Salvation Unit “What difference does the resurrection make to Christians?” These lessons are based on Understanding Christianity CORE LEARNING planning.

Each lesson starts with a sticky knowledge retrieval quiz and vocabulary activity.
Activities include bible passage comprehensions, videos, writing a detective report looking at evidence for the resurrection, art focusing on the key beliefs of incarnation, salvation, resurrection, sacrifice and hope with an art gallery description task. There is also a focus on Desmond Tutu and his belief in resurrection with a written task as well as a lesson dedicated to Good Friday and Easter Sunday and the practices common to both. There is also a silent debate activity around key resurrection beliefs. The unit culminates in a linking writing activity bringing all learning together.
Lessons include videos, group/partner discussion, group tasks, individual tasks and making links to children’s own lives. All resources are included, and there is a printing requirement list for the whole unit. Please note - the SMART and PowerPoint contain the same content, but you need Notebook software to open SMART. There are two versions of the PowerPoint but they contain the same content - one is in pptx and one in ppt format.
