This unit is a series of six lessons and all resources for the UCCreation Unit “Who made the world?”

Each lesson starts with a sticky knowledge retrieval quiz and vocabulary activity.
Activities include a nature walk; age appropriate reading of the Creation story from Genesis; Creation dance task; class performance of Steve Turner’s In the Beginning poem; ordering activity of Creation story; mindmap based on the sentence stem “The world is…”; how Christians can thank God post-it task; Harvest Festival song sing-a-long and lyrics analysis; study of different prayers of grace; writing a class grace prayer; note from a Christian to God the Creator; questions to a world-maker; grape-eating sensory experience; What is amazing about our world? mindmap; and a Thank You card to someone who feeds us.

Lessons include videos, group/partner discussion, group tasks, individual tasks and making links to children’s own lives. All resources are included, and there is a printing requirement list for the whole unit. Please note - the SMART and PowerPoint contain the same content, but you need Notebook software to open SMART.
