This unit is a series of six lessons and all resources for the UC Incarnation Unit “Why does Christmas matter to Christians?” These lessons are based on UC CORE LEARNING planning.

Each lesson starts with a sticky knowledge retrieval quiz and vocabulary activity.
Activities include mindmap; ways people prepare for a new baby task; design a new bedroom for baby Jesus; Christmas story trail with age appropriate bible passages; Christmas story roll the die discussion; retell story of Jesus’ birth task; Christmas card sorting activity; advent wreath discussion; class advent calendar task; class advent wreath making; class thankfulness paper chain activity; and post it activity answering the Big Question Why does Christmas matter to Christians?

Lessons include videos, group/partner discussion, group tasks, individual tasks and making links to children’s own lives. All resources are included, and there is a printing requirement list for the whole unit. Please note - the SMART and PowerPoint contain the same content, but you need Notebook software to open SMART.
