This is a set of three activities, which are ideal for use during work connected to Roald Dahl and his books. They are also useful for celebrating Roald Dahl Day (September 13th) and can be used across KS1 and KS2.
The activities focus on creative writing, but are also aimed at producing work for class displays.
Activities:
*Design a map for 'Roald Dahl Land', featuring drawings and writing linked to his books.
*Write a fun information text about a Roald Dahl inspired weird and wonderful creature.
*Create a fact file card/poster for a new giant for the BFG story.
Included:
*Teaching PowerPoint to introduce each activity, including examples of each task.
*A variety of writing templates for the independent work.
