An immersive home-learning project that allows students to delve into Shakespeare’s life and times by exploring the Globe theatre, creating their own Shakespearean insults, writing persuasive speeches inviting visitors to the Globe and creating their own scenes from a Shakespeare play (some ideas are included but students can choose any scene from any play.) As well as being creative and using any resources or materials they have at home, students also get a chance to evaluate their directorial decisions. There are useful and informative resources to accompany this power point and examples from me with scaffolded help to lend support and ideas. The powerpoint is divided into two lessons but students can use it as they wish; the important thing is to have fun.
