Fantastic Power Point to support the teaching of chapter 3 of the novel. The activities are divided into two for this: the setting and the contextual background. Lots of contextual information is provided here and I might add in an additional task of asking the students to find textual details in chapter five that hint towards the contextual evidence looked at during the lesson. This lesson could easily be incorporated into a wider unit of work to support the teaching of this novel. Thank you for sharing this resource.
