Topic: In a world of distractions, it has not gone unnoticed that both adults and children do not get enough sleep. Sleep supports children’s growth and can develop their immune system. Poor sleeping habits can cause lack of focus in education, poor diet and mood swings. It is important that children learn about the importance of sleep from a young age.

This lesson focuses on why sleep is important for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and looks at different routines and habits for good quality sleep. The lesson provides opportunity to discuss finding alternatives from screen-time play before bed and brings awareness to the effects of blue light on sleep.
