In this unit, we looked at the work of Eadweard Muybridge, then using Lomo cameras (see lomographic society www.lomography.com ) we took photographs of our selves in motion. The lomos are good because they have 4 lenses to capture movement. Lomos capture movement like the work of Muybridge. We then used digital copies of our photographs and manipulated them in the ICT lab. After that we made studies from the photographs capturing movement, referring our drawings to the futurist Umberto Boccioni. We finished by studying Juming and his Tai Chi series www.juming.org.tw/juming-en/index2_en.html Then children then had a tai chi session and drew poses, from that they made 3D card tai chi sculptures which were covered in modroc and painted stone colour.
