The Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award for 11-17 year olds, run by the Poetry Society, is one of the world’s largest free poetry competitions. Teacher Ashley Smith has created this new resource to mark the 2013 competition, which opened on 11 Mar 2013 and closes 31 Jul 2013. It covers the following key areas: personification, Sylvia Plath, comparing texts, prose poems, list poems.
