Dr Emma Smith discusses her current research on the First Folio (http://firstfolio.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/) and proposes why we should still study Shakespeare. In particular, she focuses on his impact on a history of readers. Listening to this podcast would be an ideal homework task before students start a unit on Shakespeare.
