Writing About Reading And Writing: EDITABLE First Writing Assignment

This essay assignment is the first writing assignment that can be given at the beginning of the school year. Students are asked to write 6 specific paragraphs which gives the teacher an understanding of how they begin approaching reading, analyzing literature, and preparing to write an analytical essay. Each paragraph has very specific questions that guide the students. In addition, there is a rubric included for evaluation.
