Class role play electricity by walking around carrying pieces of paper (supplied by teacher = cell) and burning on a Bunsen (lamp). Please give me feedback if you have time. These are PowerPoints and sheets I use in lessons and will need some adaption to your classes. Most lessons start with a 'Do now' that students do as they enter. I should mention that there are running jokes about my dislike of dogs (sorry!). See more at www.mrsimonporter.wikispaces.com

Very clear and simple, fantastically helpful! Will do an adaptation activity with a football covered in post its that students take off to illustrate same concept. Thanks again Mr Porter.

Great resource! Like the modelling idea, very clear! You seem to be becoming a go to man for my physics!

Great powerpoint - though I removed the references to coulombs as I don't think they need that at year 9? I've role-played elec with matches and in fact had a breakthrough with my own understanding with that (10 years ago I should add) - - made barricades with desks that the class had to walk through = parallel circuit - gave them two matches each = bigger voltage

An interesting role play strategy, and accompanying worksheet. Powerpoint would need to be adapted as you suggest
