This 3 week unit uses The Twits by Roald Dahl to examine dialogue in stories, before using a playscript of The Twits to learn about the layout, preparation and performance of plays. In final week children write their own plays, including stage directions.
Hamilton’s English planning covers all aspects of English, including SPAG, within the context of a wide range of fiction, non-fiction and poetry genres, such as traditional tales, recounts and performance poems.
