A sentence writing intervention booster that can be printed off to create a booklet of activity worksheets for Early Years and Key Stage 1 children who are struggling with sentence writing. The PowerPoint covers five weeks worth of activities and introduces children to 35 of the 100 high frequency words/hfw. Each week covers reading the focus high frequency words, writing the focus words, cutting and sticking words to make a sentence and then writing a dictated sentence.
I have used this activity to encourage children to write sentences with capital letters and full stops and to hold and repeat the sentence in their head.
The intervention helps children to gain confidence when they are writing sentences.

Letter formation cards for letters a-z in lower case.
The letters can be traced over, with a green dot to show the starting point and a red dot for the end point.
The printouts can be folded over to form a 2 sided letter formation card that can be laminated and reused many times without wasting paper.
This bundle allows pupils to practise their handwriting from a very basic level.
This pack is appropriate across both KS1 and KS2.
There are 3 documents provided in this bundle.
Each individual document is 39 pages long.
The 1st document is ideal for those children in your class who who are really struggling with the formation of their individual lowercase letters. Each letter that is provided has arrows indicating to the child where they should start and where they should finish. It also indicates the order in which the child should be forming their strokes.
The full alphabet has been printed in font sizes 50, 40 and 30.
This is so that you can easily print the sheets separately if you wish.
Towards the end of the pack, there is a separate section. Again, this can be printed separately if prefered. On each page within this section, the child is provided with 2 pictures, which they can trace outside, and then colour in. Above the image is the word which again, they will need to write.
The 2nd and 3rd pack are similar in terms of the structure.
However, the 2nd pack provides the children with text written which is written with ‘dots’ which sit on guidelines. Children are to trace these letters which will help with their letter formation.
The 3rd document removes the guide lines, but still provides the ‘dots’ for the children.

Detailed English planning for Year 1 based on the story of Stick Man by Julia Donaldson. Activities are differentiated as appropriate. There are plenty of opportunities for speaking and listening, along with peer work.
Day 1 focuses on working together to make a list of different ways to use a stick. Day 2 encourages children to answer the question 'What is the most dangerous thing about being a stick man?' Children are invited to take on the point of view of Stick Man, arguing their view point and justifying their decision. Day 3 invites children to pretend they are Stick Man and recount the story to their family at dinner. Day 4 focuses on Stick Man's feelings and emotions throughout the story. Day 5 invites children to write postcards and letters from Stick Man’s point of view back to his family about one of his adventures.
This resource offers exceptional opportunities to incorporate multicultural activities into the curriculum effectively. The primary objective of this activity is to establish a personal connection with the Diwali festival, as it enhances children’s learning experience.
The first activity, “Complete the Text,” serves as a perfect introduction to the festival’s significance. The second activity aims to reinforce one of the most crucial aspects of Diwali, which is sharing with others, through a five-day challenge.

This is my main IWB smartboard resource that I used to sequence my literacy lessons together during an 'Enchanted Woods' topic. I read the story to my class whilst I was using this resource and they produced some of their most imaginitive writing to date.
I have included 2 IWB resources:
Main Enchanted Woods- many lesson starters and plenary activities (28 pages)
- Developing and describing enchanted story settings
- Writing postcards from the settings
- Story planning (magic objects, characters, settings and plots)
- Writing a structured beginning, middle and end of story.
- Writing a blurb for the books.
- Writing a diary entry from the enchanted woods.
- Writing a blurb for their own enchanted stories.
It also contains a 'Instructional Writing' IWB resource to help children design their own enchanted creature trap, make their trap and write instructions to use their trap.
I have included a few writing templates and success criteria strips that I used during the lessons also. This resource will definitely set you off to a great start in an Enchanted Stories type of topic, KS1 or lower KS2. Enjoy!

Stage 1 Handwriting booklet.
This booklet takes the learner through each step of letter formation using the Read Write Inc. programme. The booklet has a date section for you to track when each letter is complete.
I’ve tried to put as much into this as I possibly could. There's flashcards, posters, class lists, class groups, blank sticker charts, HFW assessment charts, MFW assessment charts, a multiplication square, number fans, ‘welcome to..’ postcards, book labels, a birthday certificate, name tags, ‘we are working with..’ cards, and a template welcome letter to fill in and send home to parents
Use these templates to teach young writers how to write a basic letter or recount. Your students will learn about addresses and can get creative in decorating the front picture and creating a stamp of their own in the process
