This Reading Comprehension worksheet is suitable for upper intermediate to proficient ESL learners. The text explains breaks down the symptoms, diagnosis and research around autisms. This resource contains two functional skills writing activities with instructions for the pupils to follow. This resource asks students to write a Christmas dinner invitation. There is a task sheet giving instructions and a colourful template on which to write the invitations. These tasks are differentiated two ways, one for a written invitation and one for an invitation in the form of a poster. This is a simple worksheet I made as part of out Ancient Greek topic, for a mixed aged / ability group of children with autism. Children used a sheet containing the ancient Greek alphabet to complete the worksheet.

Sorting task designed for students with autism / SEN This is designed to be used in different ways depending on ability level: * cut and laminate cards, students sort into 'autumn' and 'winter' baskets. * students write 'autumn' and 'winter' in books, they then cut and paste pictures under the correct heading. * students write headings in book then use chart to write each fact into their books * students write headings in book then use chart to write sentences, using each fact in a sentence.

This simplified story is based on the bible story The Good Samaritan. It includes 15 pages and the story has been simplified to be more engaging for students and easier for them to understand and follow the story. Each mini-page, is half an actual page size, meaning you cut each page in half. I recommend laminating each page individually and then binding together to make a book - it’ll also make it stronger and longer lasting for you. This is a fun, and simple way to introduce a Bible story into your classroom and Religious Education lessons. You can use this resource as a whole class story which you can read to your students, or print numerous copies and have them readily available for your students to read in your classroom library. Another great way to use this resource is to introduce the book page by page each day/week and put together as a sequencing activity into student’s literacy books so that you can discuss each page more in-depth and have your students work on their sequencing skills. This resource comes in colour/color or black and white option for your preference.

Most suited to small group or class of readers, including emerging readers with support. You can change the number to however many books are appropriate for your student/students. i.e. 1 if reading long books. Nice and straight forward instructions in symbol/pictorial form to go to the library, choose a book(s) and read it/them. The worksheet, again in symbol/pictorial form as well as the words, just focuses the student on 3 very achievable tasks relating to the book itself.
