Animal Category Sorting Cards

(0)
This resource contains 6 different animal categories for students to match the appropriate animal images into. The categories included are: ♦ Farm Animals ♦ Zoo Animals ♦ Ocean Animals ♦ Desert Animals ♦ Pets ♦ Wetland Animals If you have any recommendations for any additional sorting pages you would like added please don't hesitate to contact me. There are 6 animal items to match for each card. I recommend laminating each of the individual parts so that they will be stronger, longer lasting and re-usable. This resource is a great way for students to work on their sorting and categorising / categorizing skills. They are used with an Autism Classroom on a regular basis which have really helped to develop the children's understanding. As well as suiting an Autism Classroom, this resource would also benefit Spec Ed Classrooms and even Mainstream Classrooms.

A brilliant 'Animals' Science TEACCH pack to add to your file folders. Great for your students with SEND, especially your students with Autism. These tasks help to consolidate knowledge for the 'animals including humans' science topic, as well as working on independence and fine motor skills. This Pack covers most of the'animals' objectives from KS1 National Curriculum Science topic 'Animals including Humans' Some of the file folders also have two levels to help you differentiate and to provide further challenge for those students who are ready to move on. Print out the pack and cut out the required pieces (all of the pages that need to be cut are clearly labelled) laminate and then add Velcro. Pop activity into a file folder or box and you are ready to go! Please leave a rating and feedback. Any questions and queries, don't hesitate to ask! Continent sorting activity

Activity created for primary SEN group. Children cut and pasted a map of the continent and a picture of that continents animals into the appropriate box. Some animal pictures are on a map of the continent to give children a visual clue - because of this I gave them the strip of maps and the strip of animal pictures separately to avoid confusion. I let the children cut out their pictures themselves to promote fine motor skills.
