There are enough balances on each station card to cater to complete beginners and for experienced gymnasts.

Recommendations for use:
Set up 4 different stations around the room and give students set times on each station then move them on (think circuit)
Split the group into 4 and give each group a station card - swap them over as needed
Place the balances in a central position and get students to pick on balance from each station that they should link together into a short sequence

This resource is used to teach rounders through a TGFU approach. Each game is one lesson. I have detailed each lesson with a diagram. A TGFU approach allows students a deeper understanding through game play.
Set the students straight into the games and ask questions to probe learning, for example 'In four ball hit - Where should you be hitting these balls', 'How can the fielders work together to be successful' 'What techniques can a batter use to hit the ball in a different direction'.
The resource contains 3 teaching cards, each card has 3-4 team challenges.
These challenges can be done both in and out doors, they are great games to encourage children to communicate and solve problems as an individual, pair and group
These are 2 athletics lessons that you can use to start off your athletics coaching and teaching. They link nicely to the National Curriculum and are easy to deliver and fun for the children. They can be adapted and differentiated for any year group from F2 up to year 6.
This series of lessons is focused on KS2 basketball and working on the fundamental movement skills, agility, balance and co-ordination. The scheme of work culminates in a mini basketball tournament and introduces several rules of the game along the way. I have found drip-feeding the rules works better than overloading children with all the rules in the first lesson.
The lessons are suitable for year 3-6 and are differentiated accordingly. You will have to make some adjustments to suit your class but the outcomes are generally SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, time relevant) I also make sure there is some element of challenge for the higher ability.
