An activity for that short but vital task of sorting out the difference between these 4 types of algebraic notation. Firstly a MATCH-UP activity (the preview does not indicate the matches!) of the definitions for each of the 4, then a sorting and grouping activity with examples of each. Lastly, something to do with each type - substituting, solving, identifying and proving. Answers provided! Could be easily adapted for differentiation, although it did it itself on first use as the more able completed the sorting and all the 'doing' while others just completed the main task of sorting .

A set of suggestions to be laminated and displayed to give practical tasks for pupils to do if they have finished their work. Included is a set of mathematical challenge questions for KS3 and KS4 which pupils can pick up and attempt in the last 5-10 mins of a lesson. I can't claim credit for these as I found them on TES but I have been unable to track down the true author to namecheck them! I have also included photos of how I have them in my classroom, to set the scene.

A selection of 3 activities, in order of difficulty, for those 3D views topics. Isometric drawing practice, plans and elevations practice (with a crib sheet) and a challenge/extension activity where pupils have to construct the solid given the 3 views. Also a nice extra extension puzzle at the end using 7 irregular solids to make a cube. Notes for this included but not the solution, sorry!

A crib sheet to summarise the defining characteristics of the 3 distributions Binomial, Poisson and Normal. Also includes criteria for approximations. There is a completed version and also a blank version for pupils to fill in if that's what you would prefer them to do! Word and PDF versions. ( PDF as I found exporting from Word to PDF the easiest way to get 2 landscape pages onto one sheet the correct way up!)

A set of 3 tasks covering multiple areas of the curriculum, at both Foundation and Higher, designed for revision at the sharp end of Year 11. I use each as about a lesson, having recapped some or all of the areas covered. The idea being that there are a number of different skills that could be assessed relating to one starting point. Answers are provided. (‘A Box’ was not my own work, apart from the answers. I can’t remember where I obtained it, but it led to 'A Table and ‘A Quadratic’ which are my work.) I will update here with the author if I track them down.

It is what it says! Included is a Smart Notebook presentation going through all the Circle Theorems, with examples of each one, both theoretical and numerical (answers can be revealed). Three theorems per lesson. After each set, there is a small set of combined questions to assess understanding, good to use with mini-whiteboards in the classroom. There is also a set of printable pupil 'notesheets', suitable for annotating for each theorem. There is a set of 3 worksheets, one per lesson, for practice of the theorems covered; worksheets 2 and 3 assume previous worksheets have been completed. Answers for these are included. I have not included (even) further practice, such as exam-type questions, as there are numerous other excellent sources for these, even good old textbooks!

A printable set of 10 diagrams for showing loci and a supporting booklet. Designed for use after the associated constructions have already been taught. Stick these sheets up round the room/corridor. Furnish each pupil with a set of 10 sticky dots, available from all good stationers. They have to place a dot on each diagram according to the conditions given, and not in the same place as any other dot. (Rulers allowed at your discretion) When all 30(?) dots have been placed, it makes for a good discussion about the line/region that has been created. The booklet is a scaled down version of these diagrams for pupils to create the accurate versions of these loci with their knowledge of constructions. The matching cards are for those who may finish early and can have a go at interpreting contextual loci descriptions.
