KS2 History Early Islamic Civilisation / Empire and how it spread, why it was important and compares with Anglo Saxon Britain. Each lesson has a historical skill focus. Please Rate :) L1 - Chronology - Where does Early Islamic Civilisation fit into the chronology of ears? L2 - Enquiry - What were the factors which led to the spread of Islam? L3/4 Interpretation - What can we learn about early Islamic civilization from the way they set up the capital at Baghdad? L5 - Interpretation - What was life like in Baghdad for its citizens? This lesson compare Anglo Saxon Britain as the same point in time. I struggled to find anything when I was given this topic - so I researched and created my own flips and resources. Each lesson has differentiated questions and task. The Children enjoyed the topic and the History deep dive with OFSTED praised the lesson sequencing and knowledge being taught. Any issues please let me know.
