All about me foldable activity for back to school first week

Get to know your class with this no-prep, all about me activity. This foldable printable is ideal for back-to-school or for an ‘about me’ topic and is a fun alternative to a standard worksheet. Print the template on white paper. There are 4 designs to choose from, each with the same prompts (please note that the templates are not editable). Pupils will need coloured pencils, a pen and scissors. Firstly, pupils will colour the top and bottom of the template. They can then fill in the boxes with words and pictures. The information they’ll need to complete is as follows: Name Age Left/right handed A place I’d like to visit is 3 words to describe me Things that make me smile I want to learn more about If I were an animal I’d be Something important to me Encourage lots of discussions! When the foldable is closed, it will spell ME. It can then be gently opened to reveal the detail inside. This ‘T Shirt About Me’ activity, is a fun, first week back to school ice breaker. It’s a creative way for teachers and students to learn more about each other. Invite students to respond to 30 prompts and questions in a personal and imaginative way, using doodles, words, ‘graffiti style’ lettering and illustrations. T shirt template 1: Art Activity There are 15 sections to illustrate responses to prompts, including: Self portrait, name, age, grade, favourite color, fruit, vegetable, sport, film, song… T shirt template 2: Writing Activity There are 15 questions / prompts to respond to in written format, including: My top 3 goals this year, something I like at school, something I find challenging, if I were a superhero, I can make the world better by, I feel happy when, I feel sad when, I aim to, I wonder if… The T Shirt templates measure approximately 22 x 18cm / 8 x 7 inches and are designed to fit US Letter and A4 paper size for printing. The finished T shirts make a fabulous display, on the bulletin board or pegged up on a line as a garland. The designs are inspired by Piet Mondrian’s abstract work and the pack includes a poster and garland to make the classroom colourful and inspiring. This fun foldable activity will take pupils through the 6 stages of the human life cycle - baby, toddler, child, teenager, adult, and elderly person. This sequencing resource is designed to help children understand the different stages of human growth and how we all change over time. It’s a great hands-on alternative to a worksheet and can be used to support lessons on mammal life cycles, growing up, or ourselves. The activity Pupils colour the life cycle stages and arrange them in order on their template. They glue them in place before cutting and folding. There are 3 similar template designs to choose from (one with an easy-cut straight edge), and life cycle stages for a male and a female. Human life cycle posters This resource also includes 7 full-page printable posters with details about each human life cycle stage.
