Earth Day KS1 and KS2 Assembly. A simply written whole school assembly to cover the main aspects of Earth Day which can be used in the days preceding or on 22nd April. NO PREPARATION REQUIRED ! Simply print the worksheet (or you could project it) the PPT carefully leads you step by step through the lesson so no preparation required. GRAVITY STUDENT OUTCOMES: By the end of the lesson students will: * Know what gravity is, and which direction it acts in. * Understand the factors that affect gravitational field strength. * Understand the difference between mass and weight. * Be able to calculate weight and mass on the earth. * Be able to calculate weight on other planets. This engaging investigation activity allows students to use develop their innovation, creativity and collaboration skills to control the direction of their enterprise project. The resource set guides students through the entire project, from conception to evaluation, and includes resources/ guidance for the following activities: -Deciding upon different roles within their groups, in order to carry out multiple tasks effectively; -Designing a company name and appropriate logo and slogan; -Researching their product area, including competitors and USPs; -Conducting market research; -Budgeting; -Detailed product design; -Packaging design; -Creating instructions for users; -Formulating and presenting a persuasive pitch; -Surveying the target audience for their feedback; -Self-evaluating strengths and areas for development. A comprehensive PowerPoint presentation guides students through the project. There are at least a week’s worth of resources in here, enabling students to fully immerse themselves in the project. I orignally have used this with KS2 and KS3 students, but they could reasonably be adapted for students in KS4. All images have been cited at the end of the PowerPoint presentation and are licensed for commercial use.

I’m a Plastic, GET ME OUT OF HERE is a funny and informative class assembly which caters for 30 children with speaking parts which has had raving reviews off teachers, parents and the children themselves! This is a KS2 class assembly which informs everyone of the dangers of plastic, what materials can be recycled and how to make smart swaps. The Class Assembly is based on plastic contestants going through 3 trials that are completed with humor and information of plastics and sustainability is shared . The script can easily be changed to make it more personal for your school. I’ve tried to include as many resources as I can to make your life easier! I have done this assembly with Year 4 children and it was a massive success, really easy to practice and was thoroughly well received!
