In this lesson, students are introduced to good hygiene, and are asked to judge others based on their personal hygiene. This gives them an awareness of their own hygiene levels. They learn the importance of good hygiene, and when they need to practice it, as well as showing them the skills to practice good hygiene with. This lesson has been rated outstanding.
Included is the lesson plan for this, which shows differentiation, other tasks you can try, and a step-by step guide to the lesson. There is also a whole lesson powerpoint, and a hygiene activity to the students to complete, discuss and hand in! I am also on hand if you need any tweaks, help, or additional guidance! Enjoy :)

Teachers make so many reasonable adjustments (RAs) for pupils in their everyday teaching and this document allows them to record these RAs to share with others who may cover their class. A quick and easy sheet for any member of staff to pick up and have an overview of all the reasonable adjustments which happen routinely in the classroom - e.g. movement breaks, standing to complete work, using a fiddle toy, etc. - and therefore reducing pupils anxiety, knowing that the RAs will be in place no matter who is teaching the class. Fully customisable in Word.
A clear poster outlining the difference between Adaptove Teaching and Differentiation to support staff and governors understanding of the difference between the two.
Useful for new to role SENDCo’s, ECT’s and for staff training.
A great resource to have in PPA files and on display in the staffroom/PPA room.
This resource provides a range of activities to develop fine motor skills, designed with learners with severe learning difficulties in mind. It is by no means exhaustive, but covers a range of activities to develop discrimination of left and right, hand-eye coordination, crossing the mid-line, in-hand strength, finger and in-hand manipulations, finger isolation skills, grasps, releases, pencil control skills, early drawing skills and early letter formation skills.
This was created with a very wide ranging ability group. It has several levels of 'closure' and allows for differentiation and personalised learning for pupils without them feeling either patronised or discriminated against. This type of worksheet is usually produced during a lesson with input from pupils. Pupils choose the words to remove and put into boxes. The sheet can then be copied and differentiated. I often let youngsters decide which level of sheet that they want to do.
Please rate or give feedback if you found this useful.

Use with pictures or symbols to help children with anxiety know what is happening next in smaller chunks. Once the now has finished, take away the symbol to indicate it has finished.
