Colourful semantics for CVC words SEN ASD

(1)
Colourful semantics to go with 23 CVC words. I split these into 4 words per week (one week, has 3 words) and we work on spelling these words and using them in sentences, but this can be easily adapted if you wanted to use more words per week. I have included colourful semantics boards, from the basic Who, What doing, What, to more complex Who, What doing, What, Where, Why. I have laminated these for my class and differentiate so some of the students complete only the 3 word sentences and some complete the 4 or 5 word sentences, but using the same pictures. I have included 3 pictures of examples of students using the boards and words (I hav blanked out student names)

The files you will receive have been designed and written by myself from my research and knowledge around the subject. All graphics have been produced by me, including page design and individual blocks This is a Lego therapy resource pack which is designed to aid any practitioner to successfully deliver a course of play sessions. The core contents of the pack can be tailored to different age groups or abilities by the practitioner. It has twenty-four different pages which contain a brief introduction and then explains each team member’s role and job description. It also has visual images to aid with colours,** shapes** and questions that could be asked to help the children engage and communicate with each other. There is also a tracker sheet which is great for following each child as they develop or it highlights if they need additional support. Lastly, the practitioner should have basic knowledge of play therapy and if not this pack could further develop their own personal skill set.** Please note 'This product has been written and produced by myself. I have attended numerous speech therapy courses on how children can benefit in their social communication by using lego Block Based therapy within a group setting.**

Social Story - Behaviours, Behaviors

This resource contains a behaviour / behavior management symbol support story that is a great resource to introduce and encourage behavior / behaviour management with yours students. This social story is 22 page story on behaviour/behaviors. It comes with a choice of 3 different covers (my helping story, behaviour management, behavior management). The story is a walkthrough of different things that students may do if they get angry/sad and how you/they can help calm. Each page comes with a descriptive image/symbol. I recommend printing each page individually, laminating and then binding together a book so that it can be used for future/prolonged use. The pages included are as follows; ♦ I am happy when I get to do things I like ♦ I get sad if I have to do things I don't like ♦ Sometimes, I get angry if I have to do something I hate ♦ I may get angry if something doesn't go my way ♦ When I'm angry I don't understand how to cope ♦ I might cry ♦ I may have a tantrum ♦ I may throw things across the room ♦ I may scream really, really loud ♦ I may make a mess ♦ I may hurt myself ♦ If I hurt myself I can get more upset ♦ I may hurt someone ♦ I must remember to be kind to others ♦ If I hurt someone else, they may get upset ♦ My teacher can help me if I am angry or upset ♦ I can go to a quiet area to help me relax ♦ I can blow 5 big, deep breaths ♦ I can go for a walk ♦ It is OK to ask for help ♦ Soon, I will be happy again!

Emotion cards

Designed to help students who struggle to express their emotions (ASC/SEN). Students are able to show a card to suggest how they feel about a situation or task. Very useful for when a student is in a crisis or overload and cannot verbally express themselves. I have found these very useful in getting students to manage their emotions and when they feel they need a break or possibly extra instructions for a task they are finding complicated.

Autumn Winter Sensory Story

(13)
This is a sensory story I created for my topic 'seasons'. This was written for a PMLD/ CLDD class. I have written it with the sentence, the sense, the sensory experience and what I and my TAs are looking for and observing throughout the sessions. Repeat story throughout the term to enable the child to develop anticipation, investigation, awareness, preference and much more. Could also be used in an EYFS KS1 class.
