A basic worksheet with the key interfaces in a table. Students have to define an interface and then fill in the table with the advantages/disadvantages/description of each type of interface. This worksheet could then be used as a revision aid as students move closer to the exam. This worksheet was designed for the CIE iGCSE ICT specification; however, it would be appropriate for other exam boards that feature a topic on interfaces.

An information sheet designed for GCSE/iGCSE units on confidentiality/data security (Unit 8 of CIE iGCSE). Students have to answer basic questions on passwords and encryption, before being presented with authentication methods used for computers. This would be an excellent resource for revision of these topics.

A card sort activity for the iGCSE CIE ICT topic on ATMs (Computers and Banking). Students are given the steps of putting a debit card into an ATM to withdraw cash. Presented on the sheet is the correct order of the steps. Teachers should print this off as the answer sheet and print additional copies to be cut up. Students then have to sort the instructions into the correct order.

A blank table with the skills required for the OCR CLAiT qualification (Unit 2 - Excel). Students are asked to tick whether they are comfortable with each step and should use the notes section to write useful tips to themselves or draw the relevant buttons required to complete the task.

A simple gap fill exercise that explores Stalin's rise to power in the 1920s. I have included answers on the second page. This was intended to be used with the legacy AQA GCSE unit: Stalin's Russia, 1924-1941; however, it can easily be adapted to any exam board and the current Modern World AQA unit.

Students are given a visual source (WikiCommons) and are tasked with analysing/evaluating the source for homework. This is a great worksheet to complete towards the end of the slavery topic, as the students will be able to appreciate the sentiments of the image. There are prompts underneath the image to encourage students to explain the source in more detail. This worksheet is intended for KS3.

A handout on the Northern Rebellion and a map that plots the route taken by the rebels. This is useful material for all students covering the Later Tudor period and Elizabeth I, for instance the Triumph of Elizabeth AQA module. Please rate and comment, as all feedback is appreciated.

A fun activity to get students used to inputting data into allocated cells. Students will follow the instructions to add words to different cells on a blank Excel spreadsheet. At the end of the task, the words will come together to form a riddle (Answer: Clock). Students then have to email their answers to the teacher (teachers must insert their email address on to the worksheet), which helps them to repeat this key skill. Students who finish quickly could create their own sheets, using riddles from the internet or ones they have created themselves.

30 mark (35 minute) test on rivers, flooding and the water cycle for Year 7. This was based on the content from the Geog.1 text books; however, it is suitable for any topic on rivers at KS3. Students have to label a diagram of the water cycle, define key terms, draw diagrams and produce longer responses on flood defences. This assessment should be accessible for lower ability students whilst the longer responses will stretch G&T pupils. There is no mark scheme with this assessment; however, it is relatively straight forward to put one together based on the content that has been covered in your class. I am aware that some content may have been missed out due to time restrictions, so this test is easily modified.

A revision table to be used in preparation for Qs 1a and 2a of the A Level Russia exam. This table lists some of the key topics that students may be given in the question; they must then list the factors involved in causing this event. Included is a set of possible factors that they may put for each section, although this is by no means comprehensive. They can then use this table for question practice, by choosing two of their factors and writing an answer comparing them.

Source assessment on the murder of Thomas Becket. Quite challenging for Yr 7 pupils, so I would recommend going through one/two sources in class using the Analysis/Evaluation template. Included is the set of 4 sources, a template and a marking grid (that can be adapted to various other assessments). This can be easily differentiated by offering fewer sources or adding more descriptions to the sources.

A Level handouts and activities relating to Elizabeth I and her religious policies. Included are blank templates for mind maps on religion as well as detailed handouts covering her settlement. This content is relevant for the new OCR unit on Popular Culture and the Witch Craze. Using the Access to History text book (or their notes, if being used as a revision exercise) students make notes on the legal process surrounding witchcraft accusations. The first sheet relates to the process in Continental Europe, with the second worksheet being relevant to England. Students can then compare the two processes and suggest reasons why more people were accused/executed for witchcraft on the continent. Included is a breakdown of the key topics into themes, with a basic structure of lessons throughout the year. Also included are learning objectives and possible activities. Two resources to be used alongside other worksheets on the causes of the witchcraze. The first is a list of several causes that have been put forward for the witch hunts. Students will each take one and try to explain it on paper, the cards will then rotate around. Students can rank the causes by how convincing they find the explanations. Secondly is a summary table of the causes for witch hunting. Using the activity above, students can fill in their tables. Two activities to run alongside the OCR or Edexcel Textbooks on the witch craze. This is designed specifically for the A Level Topic: Popular Culture and the Witchcraze of the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries from OCR. Students can read the text book (and read around the topic), adding detail to their family tree. What were the relationships? Who were the characters? What happened to each of the accused witches? They can also fill in the timeline using the information from the text book and other sources. This resource is intended to supplement other resources on the Lancashire Witch Trials.

A source-based worksheet for students studying the OCR unit: Popular Culture and the Witchcraze. Students are given extracts from the three Witchcraft Acts of the period (the 1736 Act is not included) and they have to answer questions based on the content. I have not changed the language or spelling contained in the sources as I feel this is an effective way of familiarising students with the study of History through sources. The answers to the questions are relatively straightforward and are contained in the text book.
