There are lessons on: 1.1 The US political system 1.2 Reasons for the Red Scare: The Cold War 1.3 Reasons for the Red Scare: events at home 1.4 McCarthy and the Red Scare All lessons are fully resourced and mapped to match exactly with the contents of the official Edexcel IGCSE textbook and specification. The Knowledge House lessons contain student-friendly requiring students to categorise, assess significance, sort events chronologically, comprehension, solving keyword anagrams, video-related exercises and other engaging tasks that improve students’ knowledge and understanding of second order concepts. Complete set of lessons linked to the new Edexcel GCSE specification for The American West. Each lesson has a specific PPT and a series of interactive, engaging and differentiated worksheets that require the students to do the work. That’s a total of 9 PPTs, linked to the chapter headings for the Pearson textbook. However, both the Pearson and Hodder textbooks were used when creating these resources. Neither textbook is necessary for these tasks as all content is included. Our lessons are carefully planned to ensure that all relevant content is covered to ensure a level 9 is attainable. Each task has different levels of difficulty, with unfinished tasks a perfect opportunity for feedback or homework. There is a glossary of key terms for students to complete as they progress through the course, along with an exam guide on how to answer questions for Paper 2, Section A.
