Lesson used as part of AQA scheme. Based on research I was completing on crime in greater manchester throughout history.

. The Christian Church today: You will begin exploring sources of authority in Christianity, with a focus on the Pope (Roman Catholics), the Queen (Church of England) and the Archbishop of Canterbury (Church of England). We will explore their authority by reflecting on modern ethical issues and then explore the role of Christianity in the UK today. You will also explore the role and importance of religion in the UK today.

Christian Denominations and the Reformation: You will identify different groups within Christianity and reasons for their existence. You will do this by examining Martin Luther and the Reformation. Within this we will examine reasons for these groups and their similarities and differences in belief and practices. I do not own the starter resource this is from another TES authory- A to B question matrix and so has been deleted from the lesson but description added at the start Plenary is also based on a template provided by @MrFitzhistory and he provides his templates for free on Twitter- I will put this on for free on a separate post

Christian Mission and the Letters of Saint Paul: You will learn about St. Paul’s role in the creation of the Bible and focus on his writings about love (Corinthians 1:13) and Forgiveness (letter to Philemon). You will also consider the reasons for his letters and their importance and influence on Christians today. Books of the bible resource not included as I did not create it

Introduction to the early Christian Church: You will learn about what was expected from Jesus as the Messiah, the birth of the Church at Pentecost and the spread of the early Christians and the problems they met. This will include the death of St. Stephen and the conversion of St, Paul. This took me 2 one hour lessons so will be best edited or used as part of a unit. Year 9 Unit on Where was God in the Holocaust- an introducgtion to give some background to the history of persecution of the Jews

I have used this as part of the Human Rights and Social Justice Unit (AQA) and it can cover how those living in poverty should be helping themselves in conjunction with what others can do. Video is available on YouTube.

A focused and structured worksheet on episode one of the Morgan Freeman series. Focus is on miracles and there is a chance for reflection. I have used this in GCSE classes and higher ability in lower school.

A lesson done with year 7 to show a PGCE student. Various activities to explore how to pray and reflect on belief. Each table has a specfic task to do and an instruction card. Other resources are needed but can be adapted

I used their as an assessed piece of writing after completing research on this saint and watching a documentary. There is a structured planning sheet that we completed as a class.

A structured sheet used during sexism and the role of women units. It asks specific questions about the plot of the film but focuses on the presentation of female characters and their role. You will need the DVD or to stream the film.
