This bundle contains a collection of non-fiction comprehension booklets aimed at year 2. The theme for the booklets is harvest. The three topics covered are: Harvest Festival Harvest around the world Thanksgiving Each comprehension includes 3 differentiated levels. There are a range of ‘what,’ ‘who’, ‘when’, ‘where’ and ‘why’ questions, some multiple choice tick questions, true or false questions and some that require more detailed answers. There is a colour and black & white version of each booklet and answers are also included. Harvest Festival This comprehension is all about the harvest festival and covers what it is, its history, traditions and how people celebrate now. The higher ability booklet has 13 questions in total. The middle ability has 12 questions and the lower ability has 11 questions. Harvest Around the World This comprehension is all about harvest around the world and covers Thanksgiving in America, rice festivals in Asia, the fruit festival in Thailand and the harvest moon festival. Each level has 13 questions in total. Thanksgiving This comprehension is all about Thanksgiving celebrations in America and covers the history of the holiday and current traditions. This is a bundle of comprehensions for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. They are aimed at Year 2. The bundle contains two sets of booklets. There is one set of comprehensions about the celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee which cover what a Platinum Jubilee is, how the Queen and others are celebrating, ways that children can get involved and green projects. The second set of comprehensions cover 70 years of British history and the history of the Queen’s reign. There is a section on each decade. There are three differentiated booklets for each topic. There are a range of ‘what,’ ‘where,’ ‘who, ’ ‘which’ and ‘when’ questions and some multiple choice tick questions. Each activity contains a title page with useful words followed by four pages with short written extracts to read and 3-4 questions per page. They are also laid out in the same way as a SATs booklet to provide the children with greater experience. Each booklet contains a title page with helpful words followed by 4 or 5 pages of text with several questions after each piece of information. All of the booklets are in zip files.
