This Halloween season why not try carving a pumpkin in your class and add it to your display table. This pack contains printable activity sheets which are differentiated for varying abilities. You could also enlarge the sheets to an A3 format for further differentiation. Your pupils can use the Design and Technology frames to create their own scary pumpkin face and list the materials they will need. There is also a section for self evaluation. Adult support is required when carving but the pupils will thoroughly enjoy scooping out the insides and exploring the pulp and the seeds before drawing on their very own scary faces. This pack also includes instruction writing frames which can be part of your English lesson. The sheets are differentiated and include independent writing frames and cut and paste instructions. There are also sequencing sheets cut and paste activities on how to carve a pumpkin included.

Pupils can count out real pumpkin seeds and place them on the numbered mats, trace the number and then write the numbers in the boxes below. The pumpkin cards are designed for pupils to count the pumpkins then identify the number underneath from a choice of three. They can then draw a circle around the number using a dry wipe pen, The images should be laminated then they can be used again and again. This pack contains all you need to set up your classroom calendar. You can cut out the cards laminate them and attach a magnetic strip to add to your magnetic white board if you wish. They can be used in a variety of ways to incorporate differentiation within your classroom. You can use the colour or black and white versions for matching.
