Students create a little booklet on French christmas traditions. The key dates of the Christmas season are labelled and students draw and colour in their own images for each date. The word document only works in Microsoft Word 2007 onwards, in earlier versions all formatting is lost. If you have Word 2003 or earlier please download the .pdf version instead.

Top trumps cards for Euro 2016, can be used to play the card game or as a speaking/writing stimulus. Cards feature current squads from the Euro 2016 competition. The file is in pdf as the word document is too big to upload.

There are two model texts for different target levels, students use the text as a model for writing their own text about a family. There are questions in English to prompt them as to what to include. On one of the sheets there are also some 'sentences starters', which marry up to the question prompts.

After the attacks in Paris on the 13th November, a German singer/songwriter has gone viral with his peace song written in the aftermath of the attacks. The listening activities link to youtube, there is a gapfill to complete for both an interview with the singer and for his song. The video for the song shows the lyrics, so you might not want to have the video visible for the gap fill. This is not a complete lesson, just something you could use with your class.
