This is a fun way for students to revise numbers using a famous artist (Miro) colouring sheet.
Number topics included:
- prime numbers
- multiples and LCM
- factors and HCF
- square and square root
- cube and cube root
Students identify the solution to each question in one of the three answer boxes. They then find the question number on the colouring sheet and colour the section in the colour that corresponds to their answer.
Included in your purchase is a question sheet, answer sheet and colouring sheet. I print this as an A5 booklet (also included) so that students can then glue this into their notebooks.
Students can also mark their answers by comparing their colouring sheet to the original artwork. An engaging way for students to learn about numbers and art!
A powerpoint presentation perfect for starters and assessment for Numeracy! It is perfect to use as a plenary as well to check students understanding of the topic. It has multiple choices where only one answer is correct from (A, B, C and D). Perfect as a whiteboard activity for assessment during observational and Ofsted lessons. You can also use this Red, Green, Amber and White activity where students put up their planners to assess students learning. Following topics are assessed: Factors, Multiples, Prime factors, Prime Numbers, Divisors and Highest common factor

A resource which is an extension activity on the topic of factors, multiples and primes which is designed to stretch more gifted students. This worksheet in particular aims to test pupils reasoning abilities and explain their responses coherently.
These factor mazes are great activities that your students will enjoy and provide a fun way for your students to learn their timetables. There are 11 mazes included (up to x12, but not 1)) where students find the path to the finish line by following the correct factors.
Answer keys are included.
This is a lesson based on 80 mins but could be easily changed to suit your lessons. It starts with a settling starter of a multiplication grid followed by the learning objectives. The starter is the 10 quick division questions. The lesson then has some multiple and factor examples which can be done on mini whiteboards. This is followed by the differentiated questions, the extension looks at some prime numbers. This then goes through what prime numbers are and how to find them, they identify them with a partner using the 100 square. This is followed by notes about prime numbers. The plenary is an exit ticket that there is a word document available for.
This is all that you will need from the introduction of factors, multiples and primes all the way to GCSE level questions about the applications of HCF and LCM.
Bundle of games and display posters covering Factors, Multiples and Primes.
Factor Fifty Game
Player use numbers up to 50 on a 1-50 grid and have to cover a chosen number with a counter. Once a number is covered, they must cover as many factors of that number as possible too. The winner has the most counters on the board at the end of the game!
Factor Challenge
Challenge students to find the factors of 10 consecutive numbers in a row - make this game easier or harder by changing the 10 consecutive numbers.
Factors, Multiples and Primes
A4 poster showing how Factors can be shown with arrays and Cuisenaire rods, and how to identify prime numbers in the same way. What does a number with lots of factors look like next to a prime number?
Factors
A4 poster showing the difference between a factor and a multiple with visual representations - can your class make their own colourful factors and multiples pictures?
A set of printable display flowers giving a definition and examples of factors, multiples, square numbers and prime numbers. Also included is a set with blank petals which can be used as worksheets or laminated to write examples on with the children.
An excellent detailed lesson plan on Factors, Multiple, Prime and Venn Diagram. Independent activity: Students need to match terms to the definitions provided.
Pair work activity: Students will use Venn diagrams to sort out the number cards provided. There are 3 levels of challenge – 1 Venn diagram incorporating multiples and factors (2 circles), 1 Venn diagram incorporating factors and primes(2 circles) and a harder Venn diagram incorporating multiples (3 overlapping circles).
Spot the Mistakes
Independent activity:Students will need to identify any errors or misconceptions and correct them.
