In this lesson students learn about cells, tissues, organs and organ systems (4.2.1), and then about the digestive system and its function (which covers parts of 4.2.2.1). Note: The remaining parts of 4.2.2.1, which explain enzymes in detail, are in the next lesson in this topic. The lesson powerpoint teaches students how to draw a simple graph step-by-step in a relatively lively way. The Bottle Rockets worksheet (word document) can be used to follow up / expand on this and includes challenge activities / questions. The lesson is suitable for both KS3 and KS4 - for KS3 classes it may take a whole hour lesson, while for KS4 it is likely to be part of a lesson. This was the first resource I uploaded years ago and has been downloaded thousands of times with excellent reviews. My more recent resources are longer, more detailed and more sophisticated but this resource is excellent in its simplicity.
