Reading assessment given to my Y7s after holiday topic. Most vocab from Metro 1. Questions get more difficult as you go through.

Writing frame which I gave to my Year 8s to talk about holidays using the preterite. Vocab taken from Listos 2.

Vocab cards to be cut out - could be used as dominoes or could up individually as a normal vocab match up. Print each set on different coloured card - makes it easier when they end up on the floor :)

Lots of ideas for starters, plenaries etc.

The same text twice with different words missing from each. Students read the text to their partner until they have two completed texts, then could translate into English. Used with my Y8 Spanish. Vocab from Listos 2.

Sheets to cut out and stick in their books. White, black, grey, blue, red, green, yellow, orange, brown and pink.

Sheets with regular ar, er and ir verbs conjugated with the English translations. These will need to be cut up and put in envelopes. Put students in groups and give them an envelope. Students then have to match subject pronoun, stem, ending and English translation. -It's also good to print each set off in a different colour so that groups don't get their pieces of paper mixed up. -A good idea (but not my own) for if pieces do go missing - give students a mini whiteboard and they can write down the parts that they think are missing.

Powerpoint with colours, a few other adjectives and the 'ser' conjugation. I'm going to use it alongside Mira page 46/7. You may want to change the footers :)

A sheet which students could use independently to help them produce sentences using this tense

Worksheet with images of animals (pets) and the vocabulary at the bottom. Pupils write the correct word underneath each animal. Could be used alongside the Mira textbook.

Cards to be cut up for students to match up. I gave these to my Y9 French who really enjoyed not doing written work for once! Most vocab taken from Metro 4. Tip: print each set on different coloured card to make it easier when they all get mixed up
