Times Tables Blank Grid

Times Tables Blank Grid

(0)
Just what you need for your next multiplication warm-up… 12x12 times table grids! These blank times table grids are designed for students to learn and practise their 1-12 times tables. This pdf contains 20 worksheets with colour and greyscale versions as well as variations with recording space for time, score and target setting. I can’t overstate how important it is for our students to quickly and accurately recall their times tables. This knowledge provides the foundation for making mental maths calculations and allows them to solve equations with higher numbers, fractions, percentages, decimals and more! Using these grids for regular basic facts testing will help students to memorise their times tables and identify which ones they still need to learn. For our struggling learners, we can emphasise the importance of simply improving on their score or time from the previous test and praise or reward them on their PROGRESS - not for being the fastest in the class. So, whether you choose to use these for Friday basic facts testing, Maths warm-ups or homework, make sure it’s REGULAR practice and that you encourage your students to have a CAN-DO attitude because it’s then that you’ll really see the results. Enjoy! Be purposeful teachers Who are in control Feel inspired And know they’ve done enough. ☆ If you found this product helpful, please leave a review below! @attheminute.teaching

So you’ve laid the groundwork by introducing multiplication with materials, your students have done lots of practice and get the concept - now, you just need a worksheet to consolidate what that mysterious ‘x’ symbol means…ta da! This download includes two worksheets with the Learning Intention WALT use skip counting to solve multiplication equations. The first worksheet includes visuals showing groups of two to help students make connections between their use of materials and the written multiplication equation. See Think Feel Wonder Picture Prompts - Climate Change

(0)
Launch into learning about climate change with this set of picture prompts! This resource comes with 10 thought-provoking pictures as well as a recording worksheet for students. If you’re looking for an engaging way to introduce a new topic to your students, ‘See Think Feel Wonder’ is the way to go! Use this activity to spark discussion and explore students’ prior knowledge and perceptions. The aim is to encourage students to dig deeper than just surface-level observations and GET CURIOUS about the world around them. My favourite way to use this in class is as a Bus Stop or Carousel activity. For this, you’ll want to print off the photos (A4 or A3-sized) and spread them out around the classroom. Split students into small groups and get them to move between each of the stations, discussing and recording their thoughts. Post-it-notes are a great way for students to record their ideas anonymously and can later be collated to guide a whole class discussion. If you’d like students to record their responses for their workbooks, I’ve included a template for you to use at the end of this resource. I’ve also included some headings which you can print off to create a wall display alongside the picture prompts and student responses. Teacher Well-Being Ideas

Teacher Well-Being Ideas

(0)
We’ve got to build positive school cultures if we want teachers to be able to thrive. If you’re looking to boost morale, promote well-being and increase motivation, here are some ideas you can use yourself, with your team or for the whole staff body. I’m out to help teachers feel good and teach at their best. I believe that we can achieve this through four key areas: Being purposeful - Having intent behind our actions and connecting with what’s important with us to stay motivated Being in control - Focusing on what’s within our locus of control and building helpful habits into our daily routines Being inspired - Being a learner at heart, open to new ways of doing things, taking opportunities to grow and keeping our teaching ‘fresh’ Knowing we’ve done enough - Valuing ourselves and fostering a school culture of positivity and celebration where we are all happy and proud to call ourselves teachers. It’s a shame that ‘well-being’ initiatives and activities have a reputation for ‘missing the mark’ or feeling tokenistic because we have an undeniable need to see more of them in our schools. We’ve got to get the talk going, engage in authentic experiences and really build well-being into our school cultures so it’s a given - not a bonus. I hope you find this resource helpful and that, at the very least, it sets the wheels in motion for building a community of happy and supportive teachers at your school. Together let’s make schools the positive environments they should be and make teaching the uplifting experience we all want it to be. Go well, team! ☺ Be purposeful teachers Who are in control Feel inspired And know they’ve done enough. ☆ If you found this product helpful, please leave a review below! @attheminute.teaching

Give your students the opportunity to get creative with these four design tasks! These worksheets are designed for students to complete independently and can be used as a start of term or fast-finisher activity. The tasks provide a great opportunity to promote discussion around personal preferences and the need to back up your views with reasons. Students will need a basic understanding of ‘bird’s-eye view’ and keys to complete the first two tasks. This pack includes: My Dream Classroom Design Are your students looking with envy at the class next door wondering why they didn’t get brand new modern learning furniture? You may not be able to change anything but what’s wrong with dreaming? Get those future designers err…designing! My Dream House Design Dream big or create a cosy hideaway - either goes! Get your students working on their bird’s-eye view drawing skills and throw in a key for those fast-finishers! My Dream Day at School Get an insight into what your students really rate at school - who knows, they may come up with some brilliant ideas! If not, well I’m sure they’ll enjoy the chance to be the master planners! Rethinking the Class Timetable Are your students always moaning about having Maths first on a Monday? Do they wish there was more time for PE? Let them be the master planners and come up with a new class timetable! Happy teaching & learning!
