A set of differentiated worksheets for finding a percentage of an amount. Skills covered are finding percentages of amounts in multiples of 10%, multiples of 5%, multiples of 1%, multiples of 10% where calculations may involve decimals, multiples of 5% where calculations may involve decimals, multiples of 1% where calculations may involve decimals, percentage increase and decrease. Fantastic to use in lessons where you have a lot of different stages of learning (or over a few lessons!). Also great to give to students for homework and they could pick the difficulty they wanted to do! Included is a PDF version and a Powerpoint version where the text within the tables are editable. Differentiated worksheets on Enlargements for students to complete in class. Skills include positive enlargements, negative enlargements and fractional enlargements all colour coded for difficulty. This is most suitable for Challenging KS3 students and Higher Tier GCSE. I also have a one suitable for KS3 and Foundation tier which only includes positive and fractional scale factors (The questions are different on each version so if you buy both products there are no duplicates). In this product 4 levels of difficulty have been included: Blue (easy) -Enlarge an object by an integer scale factor from a centre of enlargement Gold (medium) -Enlarge an object by a fractional scale factor from a centre of enlargement. Red (hard) -Enlarge and object by a negative scale factor from a centre of enlargement Purple (challenging) Describe fully an enlargement; work out a scale factor and centre of enlargement. This Christmas maths colour by number activity will give students lots of practice of finding one missing angle in a set of parallel lines. A fun seasonal activity to engage students before Christmas AND they are still doing work! Great for a starter/plenary or early finishers. Especially if you want students to practice and consolidate parallel line angles facts without using a traditional worksheet. Skills covered include: ❄Corresponding angles ❄Alternate angles ❄Co-interior angles ❄Vertically opposite angles ❄4 questions where students have to use either corresponding or alternate angles AND angles on a straight line to find the missing angle There are a total of 26 questions included. The individual balance product contains: A4 black and white page with approx 45 balances on for students to copy Differentiated by colour A4 page with approx 45 balances on (green - easy, yellow - medium, red- hard, purple -challenging An A4 page where the balances are grouped by difficulty An A4 page where the balances are grouped by height (good for compositional work with students to get them to see the different between heights) An A4 activity/task card with 7 different tasks students can work through independently - culminating in them creating a short sequence of their own.(editable and pdf versions) The pairs, trios ands 4s balance products contain: An A4 resource card with approximately 40 balances on for students to copy (green - easy, yellow - medium, red- hard, purple -challenging) A set of task cards that will culminate in students creating their own sequence The 5+ balances contain: 1 A4 page of pictures of balances for students to accurately replicate in their routines. To develop control, fluency, tension and extension. To understand the compositional aspect of levels. Lesson 2 Rotations - To accurately replicate a variety of rotations. You should be able to teach a lesson with minimal preparation, maybe watching a few videos before hand or printing out some resources. Please ensure you understand the health and safety aspects of gymnastics before teaching this unit. Refer to Teaching safe practice in Physical Education by BAALPE if need be. The scheme has powerpoints, diagrams, animate GIFS, assessment levels, differentiation , teaching points, Assessment for learning/plenary activities, links to videos that show the skill, clear explanations of the tasks and all resources and links to the resources required via the lesson plan. No timings are included as each school can vary in terms of lesson time. They should provide enough tasks for lessons of 40 minutes and above. A treasure hunt on rounding to a mix of 1 decimal place, 2 decimal places and 3 decimal places. Perfect for a lesson on rounding or as a starter for significant figures. This one is Gold (medium): ★Round to a specified number of decimal places. Students need to start on any random card and note down the letter on their recording card. They answer the question on that card then find another card that has the answer on (they then note down that letter and so on). Suggestions for use: ★Print them off on A4 and scatter them around the room (students love getting out of their seats!) ★Print the cards off 4 to a page and give them to students individually to do on their desk I also have 3 other treasure hunts for rounding on rounding to significant figures, rounding to whole numbers & 10, 100, 100 and a mixture of all rounding skills which you can get as part of a differentiated set here. A SOW / set of 7 lesson plans for volleyball. This unit of work would be most appropriate for students that have never had volleyball lesson before or for a lower ability set that have had one unit of volleyball lessons. This SOW covers the following skills: Ball familiarisation (available free here) The volley Developing the volley The dig (using a reciprocal card) The underarm serve Passing and game play This SOW was created to save time for busy teachers and is made so teachers with little/no volleyball experience can teach it just as well as those with lots. You should be able to teach a lesson with minimal preparation (mainly using youtube to view drills) and I made these so in most cases they can be just picked up and taught. The scheme has diagrams, All/Most/SOME outcomes, differentiation , teaching points, links to videos that show the skill, appropriate resource cards and clear explanations of the tasks. There are no timings included as each school can vary in terms of lesson time. They should provide enough tasks for lessons of 40 minutes and above. This is a lesson on function machines which includes a powerpoint, workbook and treasure hunt. Objectives include finding outputs of function machines, inputs of function machines(using inverse operations), operations and creating expressions using function machines. This is a time saving resource for busy teachers. You should be able to teach a lesson with hardly any preparation (mainly printing). Fully differentiated objectives: Blue: Find the output of a function machine Gold:Use inverse operations to find the input of a function machine Red:Find the operations of a function machine Challenge (Purple): Use function machines to create expressions This resource includes: • A PowerPoint • A differentiated Work booklet that includes self-assessment sections •A treasure hunt for using inverse operations to find the input of a function machine • Full answers The PowerPoint includes the following format: • Objective and levels • A “how to teaching portion” with animated examples •A miniwhiteboard AFL check •Answers to the booklet questions • Plenary (with answers) You can input your own grades to reflect your own schools assessment criteria. In the word booklet (in the first table) if you input a grade (e.g the blue section) it should automatically change the rest of that colour into the same grade.
