Whole lesson covering the skill of writing ionic formulae and ionic equations. Linked to AQA Chemistry specification. Lesson was used with a range of ages and abilities, from year 9 - 11. Whole lesson aimed at Year 7 students on the differences between Evaporation and Boiling. I found that this is a large misconception in a lot of students and so added a lesson into my plan to challenge it. This lesson was used with a large range of abilities. The demo is watching a beaker of water boil on a Bunsen burner and watching a beaker of water evaporate on the surface.
