PowerPoint Presentation (also saved in PDF format) The presentation starts with a quick review of adverbs and their grouping. Worksheets Adverbs and Adverbial Phrases Sort (1) and (2) – Students sort the adverbs and adverbial phrases under the correct headings. Worksheet – Tasks A and B: Match Up activity. Students draw lines to match up a sentence to a suitable adverbial phrase. Worksheet – Using Adverbials (1) – Students write the beginning of their sentences and then tick any of the eight adverbial phrases to finish off. An example is given on the worksheet. Worksheet – Using Adverbials (2) – This worksheet follows on from Adverbials (1) in that students rewrite their sentence but place the adverbial phrase at the beginning remembering to use the comma. This single phonics pack focuses on initial consonant blend ‘sl’ CCVC words. As with the other consonant blends packs: it is child-centred child-friendly and a progression from CVC and CCV to CCVC Phase 4: Letters and Sounds Phonics. Aimed at: Early Years and keystage 1, SEND and ESL/EFL students. It is an addition to my other resources on initial consonant blends. This pack contains: Flexible Lesson Plan with learning objectives, lesson starter, main activities and plenary - You can choose which parts are relevant to your class. Encourage children to make simple sentences with the words to understand its meaning and distinguish between nouns, verbs or adjectives. Activity Sheet 2 - Word sort and Sentence work - children unscramble the words and the write sentences using each word.
