AQA English Language Paper 1 Question 2
This is an independent therapy booklet for English Language Paper 1 Question 2 that students can either complete themselves or do as part of intervention.
It includes:
A breakdown of the question and mark scheme
Subject terminology
A model answer with a step-by-step guide on how to approach the question

AQA English Language Paper 1
This bundle includes 4 independent therapy booklets that prepare students for English Language Paper 1.
Each booklet is designed to walk students through the skills needed, then slowly take the support away to help them become more confident and independent for their exam.
Students can either complete these themselves as guided revision or as part of intervention.
Romeo and Juliet Key Quotation Revision
This powerpoint takes students through 15 key quotations from the play. These quotations are perfect for exam preparation as they cover the key characters and central themes.
Alongside the powerpoint, there is a booklet for students to complete that they can then use for revision.
This collection uses dual coding, discussion and repetition to help students memorise quotations. There is also a “snap” game included for fun revision techniques.
The powerpoint also includes re-capping and BIG questions to get students thinking about HOW these quotations link to the big ideas of the play.

Edexcel English Literature Poetry Conflict Cluster
This booklet includes a comparative Venn diagram for each of the 15 conflict poems. 3 are already completed as revision examples and are colour coded for language, form, structure and context to ensure students are hitting the exam criteria. It also includes on Venn diagram that is partly planned that students must complete. The others are all blank with a focus poem and exam question so that students can complete these themselves. A sample essay is also included for one of the completed Venn diagrams.
A great resource for getting students to revise for the exam independently as they are able to follow the models already set out for them.
Edexcel English Language Paper 2 - Grades 9-1
This pack include two Language Paper Twos that have been answered, colour-coded and marked so that students can see a great sample of what students can achieve in times conditions.
I have also included the blank exam papers - I did not create these, but used these with my students to get these sample answers.

Macbeth - Subject Terminology
A great activity to help students decipher which keys terms can be used to comment on language, form and structure.
By no means an exhaustive list, but a great place to start.
I get the students to to this as a pre-unit task so that they can use this sheet for every extract analysis.

Spelling - KS3/KS4
This resource contains 24 weeks worth of spelling, each with 10 spellings. They are grouped in synonyms so that the students create their own vocabulary book as they go that they can then use in their own writing.

plus many more.
I now have year 8 students confidently using words such as phosphorescent, exhibits, phenomenal and nonchalantly.
English Language Paper 1 AQA Reading
These resources accompany the ‘Brighton Rock’ exam paper from AQA.
Each resource is an independent therapy sheet on questions 2, 3 and 4 that students can work through after an assessment to help with progress. I get students to choose their weakest question and work on this.
The powerpoint gives an over view of hints and tips per question, timing writing frames, useful vocab etc.

A booklet of all 15 poems fully annotated with an analysis page for students to complete per poem. Absolutely brilliant for homework or revision.
