It provides with plenty of information and activities to be completed throughout the two years of the new course and they can be used as part of a lesson or as independent study. The bundle contains: A grammar booklet, with very a comprehensive coverage of the grammar required at A Level and a multitude of activities (120 pages). A fact file, with plenty of facts and statistics to cover all themes and sub themes of the A Level course (48pages). A Paper 3 support booklet, with an overview of the A Level course and of paper 3 and a variety of questions to research each theme and sub theme (37 pages) A discussion cards booklet, with 72 cards to cover all themes and sub themes of the course.

Lesson on how to conjugate and use the future simple in Spanish. Suitable to GCSE students of all abilities. The lesson includes differentiated good and better WILFs, several writing activities of different levels of difficulty, a game of battleships and an extension with an in-depth explanation on how to use the tense and further activities for higher ability students. Please note that the presentation was created on Notebook and then converted to PowerPoint, which loses some of the features and changed the layout of some slides.

This file consists of six discussion cards based on the sub theme “Monarchies and dictatorships” of the New Spanish A Level theme Aspects of political life. The cards cover a variety of aspects of the sub-theme: Franco’s dictatorship, The Spanish Monarchy and Latin American dictators. Each card contains a lot of factual information and three questions to discuss the sub theme. FInally, the six cards are followed by a list of twenty questions to enable the students to study the sub theme further, as well as a list of useful language for the speaking test.

This bundle consists of three resources to help the Spanish A Level students prepare for their speaking exam (paper 3). The first resource is a Fact File, with a lot of factual information about the different themes and sub-themes (AQA specification). The second resource consists of a booklet with 72 speaking cards, based on the information from the fact file. Finally, the third resource is a game of trivial pursuit based on the content of the course. It includes 32 question cards with six questions each (a total of 192 questions).

This resource is a version of the popular board-game Trivial Pursuit based around the topics and themes of the new GCSE course. The different topics have been divided into the following six categories: Familia y relaciones (red) Tiempo libre y tecnología (yellow) Mi ciudad y mi región (purple) Problemas sociales y globales (blue) Vacaciones, turismo y festivales (orange) Educación y trabajo (green) The resource includes a printable board (better printed in colour and enlarged to A3) and 24 question cards (with one question for each category, so a total of 192 questions). Additionally, there is a file with six counters and six “score cards”, with a “pie” for the students to colour the different sections as they achieve them. This resource can be used as a whole class activity if displayed on the board, but it can also be printed (in colour!) for students to work in groups of up to six.

Booklet with key vocabulary for students to revise for their foundation listening and reading French exams. It contains 15 pages of vocabulary in French. Students write the English next to them and colour-code the words: green for the words they knew, yellow or amber for the ones they were not 100% sure, and red for the words they didn't know at all.

A very comprehensive set of sentences (suitable for all abilities) and paragraphs (mainly higher) to translate from Spanish into English. The resource includes 95 sentences and six long paragraphs and they cover the following aspects of Theme 1 (Identity and Culture): 1.a. Me, my family and friends (35 sentences) 1.b. Technology in everyday life (20 sentences) 1.c. Free time activities (20 sentences) 1d. Customs and Festivals in Spain (10 sentences) Finally, the six longer paragraphs include language related to all four categories. The sentences include references to a variety of tenses (present, preterite, imperfect, present perfect, conditional, future), as well as a wide range of complex structures (negatives, comparatives, conditional clauses…).

Two lessons on the topic of technology, focusing on being able to express opinions about technology in different tenses and talking about what the students use technology for in different tenses. The second lesson includes a series of GCSE exam-like activities, including photo cards, translation and 90 word question. Finally, a writing mat has been added to this resource to support students of all abilities with their written work. Update: I have now included a PowerPoint version of the main file, converted from the original Notebook file. I recommend whenever possible to use the original version, as the file conversion has changed the layout of some slides and some features work less effectively on Power Point.

There are eight questions for each theme, and they can be used in lessons, but also as an easy way to set useful homework activities for the students. All questions include four bullet points that the students are prompted to cover, and they explicitly require them to include references to three time frames and opinions (as per the AQA mark scheme). When possible, one of the bullet points starts with ‘qué hiciste’, a question which appears in many of the AQA samples and that some students often fail to understand.
