Differentiated lesson for a low ability class looking at angles on a straight line and in a triangle. The smart board goes through how to answer the questions and gives some for students to complete on their mini whiteboards. Differentiated worksheet for students to complete with answers. The plenary activity is a 'singing' plenary, where students are presented with a question to complete on their mini whiteboards and then it will play part of glee if students get it correct.

This lesson would be great to introduce the probability scale or for lower ability students. There is a probability scale match up. The students have to cut up the match up with the probability scale, read the sentences and put them where they would be regarding the probability scale. There are also GCSE question for student to complete.

This is a differentiated lesson looking at factorising and expanding brackets. The essential is to be able to expand brackets, the excel is factorising and the challenge is to be able to factorise and expand. There is a GCSE booklet that is broken down into these three levels for students to complete. The booklet can be printed into 3 sections, or printed as a booklet or printed without the answers. The answers can be stuck around the room, or with the booklet.

Differentiated lesson building up to using vectors and moving whole shapes. This lesson is aimed at lower ability students. The lesson start with students moving dots left, right, up and down. Then to moving a point by a vector and then moving a shape by a vector. There is also a plenary activity that looks at the three levels of challenge within the lesson. This can be doing as an assessment at the end of the lesson so see what the students have achieved within the lesson. Answers are also provided.

This is a revision lesson for students to revise simplifying, solve and inequalities. For the starter students should brain storm everything that they know about these three terms. For the introduction, complete a couple of questions on each for the students and then give them the GCSE booklet to complete. The answers are provided at the back. These can either be printed with the questions so that students can check them as they do the questions. Or they can be printed and stuck up around the room for students to check. Or they can be given at the end of the lesson. It could also be used as a mini test on these topics.

Differentiated lesson looking at simplifying algebra and multiplying. There are 4 levels of challenge for students to have a go at. The first 3 are in the powerpoint, which also goes through each for the students. There is also GCSE questions that the students can complete if this is still to easy for them. There is also a singing plenary which students complete on their mini whiteboards. Once they have answered a question correctly, part of family guy will play for them.

Differentiated lesson looking at the basics of simplifying algebra. There is a powerpoint to go through with the students and then a differentiated match up activity. This works really well if the easy questions are printed on green, the middle on orange, the hardest on red and blue for the answers. The students then can match up the answers knowing whether they are correct or not. There is also a singing plenary. The students use their mini whiteboards to answer the question and then if they are correct, part of family guy will play.

Differentiated lesson looking at solving equations building up to GCSE worded questions. There is a lesson that goes through how to solve equations and then a GCSE booklet for students to complete. There is also a worksheet for students if they are struggling which has solving two step, letters on both sides and brackets. To finish with, there is a signing plenary which students complete on their mini whiteboards. If they answer with the correct answer, part of grease will play for them.

Here are differentiated GCSE questions colour coded for students to complete. These can be printed and placed into plastic wallets and students complete using their mini whiteboards. They can also be given as a booklet for students to complete. Another way is to put students into groups and then get the students to complete the questions together. This can be differentiated by which students you pick. There is also a plenary activity which can be used at the end of the lesson to assess students. I usually make students do this in silence and by themselves to reflect on the learning that they have done today. The answers are also provided.
