Aqa specification A yearly plan for students to use for revision. it involves students revising using Quizlet and they have released a gcse scheme of revision cards. The textbook pages relate to separate sciences kerboodle but this is easily changed to suit. It uses the principles of spacing and interweaving and gives students a manageable list of things to do each week. The red tasks should be provided by the teacher, I’ve made a folder on google drive for these activities.

A lesson outside the curriculum. It starts with an introduction to the structure of the skin and it can be changed to suit KS4 and KS5. I’ve included 2 TED videos on skin structure the skin colour. There is an outline of the evolution of human skin colour with activities. The plenary asks questions and this lesson can be followed up with lessons on anti-racism.

This powerpoint has around 20 different generic activities that teachers can apply to any subject. There are 20 different ways of students working independently or in pairs and handling information. They present it in a unique way each time. For example ‘Horrible Science’ is about students taking textbook information and turning it into a ‘Horrible Science’ page similar to the books. These ideas are more useful as ‘main activities’ than starters or plenaries.
