This sheet explains and revises active and passive voice. I made these to help my class to consolidate their understanding of active/passive and now they are using it independently in their writing. There are 3 tasks to complete- it is colourful and visual and gives clear examples of each. I currently teach a very mixed ability year 5 and 6 class and they all found it useful.

I created these checklist cards as English Coordinator to help embed grammar throughout the school. The children can use them to assess when they have done a piece of writing. I made this unit of work based on 'The Hand' by Guy de Maupassant. It is great to do a short narrative HORROR unit with years 5 and 6 and my children loved it. You can get loads of descriptive writing out of them. The unit lasts 2+ weeks. This pack includes complete planning, 8 notebook files, the full text for the children and an assessment checklist. Hope it's useful to others and can all be adapted as needed. I removed all the names etc from my planning. But I reckon year 5 , 6 and 7 teachers could do a lot with all this ENJOY!!
