Feedback sheet for use by teacher or for self/peer assessment. I use this with marker pens. www in points coloured in green. ebi points coloured in pink. Following feedback Students have to mark the parts of their graph which are correct in green and modify where possible the ebi points. Could also be used prior to drawing a graph to remind students of requirements. Currently suitable for scatter graphs but could be modified easily for other types of graph.

This activity can be used with the Nervous Control Powerpoint Presentation or as a stand alone activity. Students draw round a 5-pointed star using the reflection in a mirror. They will find that they speed up over the course of six stars and develop strategies for coping with difficult turns. Some students find the activity more difficult than others and they can discuss why this might be (eg visual vs kinesthetic learners)

This is an A4 concept map of the keywords and ideas from pp40-41 of Collins AQA Science A. I used this as a background aide memoire whilst students were undertaking other activities on this subject. Also useful as a stimulus sheet for practicing longer written answers.

A fun starter activity (about 10 min) which looks at genotype/phenotype for various less well known inherited traits (eg arm crossing, toe length). Could be used to initate discussion at KS3 or BTEC level, or as as a quick review to highlight the genotype/phenotype difference at GCSE, perhaps leading to the punnet square activity. I have used the new prezi format to develop a process for making a videocast, which can be used at KS3 to add breadth to the methods of feeding back information. I developed this for an APP task with a high achieving Yr 7 Science group who were having trouble getting to grips with what was required for a successful videocast.
