KS2/3 - This works really well with my classes as it gets them switched on and ready to write! Especially my boys classes. Short task to assign different attributes to create a mythical creature - students put up their hands to A,B,C,D and get different movements, powers, looks etc. Sound effects on four slides (students love this). Teacher model of strong poem and descriptive writing which can be analysed as a class. List of success criteria. Peer assessment.

Roughly 2 week SOW for first years and second years covering autobiography and biography. PPTs with creative writing tasks, analysis of extracts of autobiographies and biographies, exploration of media such as book covers and the intention on colour, shape and layout. This scheme of work aims to improve analysis, creative writing and introduce exploration of media.
